About Ohmega Ticer

Ohmega Ticer manufactures OhmegaPly® Resistor-Conductor Material (RCM) and TCR® RCM, thin film resistive materials that let designers embed resistors directly into printed circuit boards, in the USA, and ships globally to leading copper clad laminators and printed circuit fabricators.

For more than five decades, Ohmega Ticer materials have been designed into high-reliability, design-specific printed circuit board resistive networks where performance is necessary and failure is not an option. Millions of hours of flawless operation in high-frequency antenna systems for ground, air, and space demonstrate the value, versatility, robustness, and enhanced electrical performance that OhmegaPly® and TCR® resistive copper foils provide.

Our Company History

Ohmega Ticer brings together two of the longest-running names in embedded resistor materials. Ohmega Technologies, founded in 1983, developed and commercialized OhmegaPly®. Ticer Technologies, founded in 2006, did the same for TCR®. In 2021 the two organizations combined, and the business has since operated as Quantic Ohmega and today as Ohmega Ticer.

Materials specified under any of these names are produced by the same organization, at the same facilities, by the same engineering team. Both product lines have remained in continuous production throughout.

Five Decades of Embedded Resistor Technology

The technology behind both product lines predates the companies that commercialized them.

1983

2002

2021

Ticer Technologies and Ohmega Technologies come together, uniting both product lines under one organization

That history means OhmegaPly® has been in continuous production for over fifty years, through the transition from through-hole to surface mount, the rise of high-speed digital design, and the move into millimeter-wave frequencies. The material has been designed into billions of circuit boards across that span.

Engineering-Led, USA-Manufactured

Both product lines are manufactured in the United States. Vertically integrated manufacturing across both sites supports consistent quality and reliable supply for customers worldwide.

The organization works directly with customers on an engineer-to-engineer basis, providing design consultation for the most demanding applications across RF and microwave, power, sensing, and advanced electronic systems. Ohmega Ticer provides material selection guidance, resistor geometry support, and application engineering, working alongside customer design teams rather than performing PCB layout.
